Ultimate Superfoods Agave Nectar is made with the highest quality 100% organic blue agave plants, aged and ideally matured, employing first-rate organic farming and harvesting methods. These methods include all natural processes that test for the ideal sugar profile, before harvesting the Agave plants from the fields.

Our Agave Nectar is not cooked, retains its natural consistency based on high velocity centrifugal straining of juices, keeping the product in a true raw food category. It is gently manufactured in a way to minimally take away from the natural benefits (no enzymes or acids are added, and the temperature is maintained at a low rate). This process is unique and proprietary.

The typical shelf life for other Agave Nectars is two years, but we believe Ultimate Superfoods Agave Nectar will remain stable for ten years. Regarding the Glycemic Index:
Simply stated, the Glycemic Index ranks foods by the speed your body converts them into sugar. In other words, the Index measures the food's effect on your blood sugar level.
When the Glycemic Index number is high, your body converts the food to sugar very quickly, and this raises your blood sugar (not healthy).
When the Glycemic Index number is low, your body slowly converts the food to sugar, and this is much more healthy.

The Source of Ultimate Superfoods Agave Nectar

Agave Nectar is proudly produced in the town of Tequila, Mexico and is made under the same natural conditions as it has been for centuries.

It is extracted solely from the Blue Agave Tequilana Weber variety, which (in our opinion) is the only type to extract Agave Nectar from. This particular plant has the highest concentrations of minerals, as well as a high content of Inulin. Inulins are a group of naturally occurring oligosaccharides (short chains of fructose molecules) that are used increasingly in foods because they range from completely bland to subtly sweet and have unusual nutritional characteristics. Inulin also increases calcium absorption and possibly magnesium absorption, while encouraging beneficial probiotic flora.

Agave Nectar production involves removing the leaves from the Agave plant, then crushing and milling the plant core called the Pina. A precious fluid is captured and put through a proprietary natural process to deactivate specific enzymes in order to keep it from fermenting.
